Luna got nervous when she walked into the room even if it was together with Cyrus. Father and Mother were sitting next to each other at the head of the table, captain Kento was standing behind them with a small group of soldiers. The Baron was sitting at the other end of the table and was also surrounded by a group of soldiers, Luna expected them to be his own soldiers.
Lord Marquet, she said with a deep bow, it is a pleasure to finally meet you, we have been looking forward to your arrival. I hope the trip towards this part of Viraal was a pleasant one. Cyrus spoke next.
Lord Marquet it is a pleasure for me as well, I’ve heard you are the head of power on the island we are stranded on, but maybe this is an opportunity for the both of us.
The Baron looked him over with distain on his face, then he pretended he wasn’t there.
Young Lady, your father here is telling me you have more outsiders in your room, he has also informed me of an outrageous idea you have of setting up a trade route with these people. Care to explain yourself?
She looked at her father in case he would give her a sign or something that said she wasn’t allowed to talk about it, when that didn’t come she started explaining her idea.
I did have that idea, yes sir. She looked at Cyrus and started explaining. This man next to me has built a ship that can withstand the Wall of Lightning. If somebody was to join them on their way back they could set up a meeting with the people there to set up a trade route for them and us. We will give them food and shelter once they arrive here, and they will give us advancements in farming, medicine and military supplies.
The baron contemplated what she said. Do you think the outsiders would see this as a valid trade route, we will only be giving food and shelter?
Cyrus stepped up before Luna could say something.
My good lord if I may.? We have no trade routes outside of Mantanar, this will be our first. I strongly believe that with the information Luna and I can provide not only about this island, but also the importance of traversing the Wall, this will be accepted by our Masters.
You are suggesting my daughter goes with you on your trip home!? Everybody looked at father with the sudden outburst. He got out of his chair and slammed his fists on the table. My daughter is not some lamb that can be traded off.!
My deepest apologies sir, this is not what I meant. I only meant to say that Luna could come with us and provide the necessary information and of course will then be on the first trip back here, after the first trip is made she can then stay here again.
Sit down Lunarro, if this is what’s necessary to set up a trade route with the outsiders I believe it is well worth the risk, plus it was the young girls idea. Let’s see if she can put it to fruition.

She took Cyrus by the arm and returned to her room, full with the rest of the crew and two guards at the door.
We did it! She looked at Cyrus and couldn’t resist but throw her hands around his shoulders and gave him a hug. We are leaving!! She couldn’t be happier. She took a quick back step when she realized that this is not correct behaviour before a crew of seamen. I’m sorry, I got a bit too excited.
It’s okey Miss, I wasn’t sure if it was going to be this easy, but it seems we all got what we wanted. Speaking fo which..? and he put his hand out in the hope Luna would give up the box.
I will give it to you, but you’d be wise to wait for me, if you were to leave without me, our island would see it as betrayal and our ships will chase you until the Wall.

There was something about the way he said it, that was not only for the box, and when Luna handed him the Vault she saw him blush a little bit.

Luna walked outside and spoke to the 2 guards at her door. Take these men to the stables, then talk with captain Kento, have them stay either in the city or on their ship for the night. We’ll meet there in the morning.

After seeing the crew off on their horses she walked back in to the kitchen and helped her mother with diner. they ate with the 4 of them. It was Luna and her parents and Lord Marquet was there as well. they ate pretty much in complete silence until Luna couldn’t take it anymore.
So, seeing as I’m leaving tomorrow and we’re not too sure when I’ll be back. I just want to say; mother and father, thank you for everything, I will miss you, and hopefully I can make you proud.
Just keep the lie going for one more night, and we’ll be out of here in the morning.
Father was as direct as always and only said one thing.
I hope so too daughter. Well, that pretty much recapped our entire relationship in one sentence.

When she finally finished packing her one bag full with clothes, food and the many gifts she got from Orym and Bren over the years, she sat on her bed and looked out her window. Before she could start thinking or dreaming about what was going to happen tomorrow, there was a knock on her door.
It’s open, come in.
She expected mother or father to come say something, but before her was Lord Marquet.
Lord Marquet, I’m sorry this is unexpected.
I just wanted to come tell you in person how proud I am of you for doing this. It is not an easy task, and the responsibilities are high. However, you as the young lady that you are, you face those responsibilities head on. That is something to be proud of yourself, even if your parents don’t show or tell it to you. He stood up again before Luna could say something.
I will remember what you are doing for this Island, and when you’ll be back, maybe we should start talking about coming more to the capital. Staying here in this little village is no place for a brave woman like yourself.

When she woke up the next morning she was super excited. She was up before the morning bell and was moving her bag and her box with gifts towards the cart outside where Bren was waiting for her.
This is it Bren, my last day on the island, I will go to the mainland and see the world.!
And of all the people here I will miss you the most. You and Orym of course, she said with a quick smile.
Bren started laughing. Of course, Orym has to be on the list as well. They hugged each other and when they let go father and mother came outside accompanied by Lord Marquet.
Here is the letter young lady, with my seal on it. Keep it safe for it is paramount you give this to the leaders there to set up the trade route.
Yes Lord Marquet, I will make sure of it. She hugged her mother and when she came to her father he gave her slight nod and said: remember to come back to us, I will need you when we get the new supplies from the outsiders.
But of course father. Thank God I never have to see this man again.
She got on the cart with Bren and waved her parents goodbye.
It would be the last time I will take this trip. The last time I will see the people of this village. It should affect me more I think. Maybe it’s because I’ve been waiting for this day for so long I never realized what I would do if the day would actually arrive.
When they were almost at the city she noticed the mark in the grass off to the side of the road. She realized she never told Cyrus or anybody else for that matter about what happened that day.
When they arrived at the docks she saw Orym just leaving the ship.
Aawh Miss Luna, happy to catch you before you go. I heard you are going on that adventure you always wanted. Hope to see you back soon.
She couldn’t get it out of her mouth that she wasn’t returning.
I won’t be long Orym, I’ll be back before you know it. With that she gave him a quick hug and looked back at Bren. he finished putting her belongings on the ship.
All set Miss. Are you ready to go?
Luna looked out over the sea, you know what Bren, I think I am.
She hugged him while whispering. Thank you for everything Bren, I will never forget you. He hugged her back but didn't say anything, when they separated she saw the tears on his face. She sterted crying herself almost immediatly.
Don't you worry about me bren, I'll be alright.
Owh Miss Luna, I am not worrying about you. I'm more worried about all the people that will tell you you cannot do something. Because you, Miss Luna, you can do everything you set your mind too. I wish you the best of luck in the world out there.

She stepped up to the ship and gave a nod to Cyrus. All good to go Cyrus. Ready when you are.
Cyrus called out to the captain and the ship was pushed off the docks, and with that her adventure was just beginning.
She looked back at Bren and the city itself. She waved him goodbye and then turned around. Ready to face the obstacles on her way towards freedom. The first being a huge Wall of Lightning.
I've got this she said, she looked towards Cyrus and saw he was looking at her as well. she walked towards him and told him she was ready to see his world.
Let's hope his world was ready for her.
