She choked up a little bit and tears ran down her cheeks. Not only did this man lighten up her day almost every day for as long as she could remember. He also understood her, something her parents never did. She gave him a tremendous hug and hugged him with more intent she ever hugged somebody.

Miss Luna, how much trouble can I get in to? I’m an old man, my life will come to an end soon. Knowing that you had your dreams come true will be something I can look back on with pride, I know your mother will miss you. Your father will probably curse you for the rest of his life.
She let go of the hug and looked him in the eyes.
My parents never showed me any affection Bren, never a hug or a good night kiss. Never a positive confirmation on my medical abilities, they did nothing to show their love to me.

She waited 5 minutes before walking in after Bren. As long as father will allow me to go to the city we’re going to be okay.
Father was extremely nervous. He was sweating profoundly and when he had nothing to do anymore he looked at Luna and looked for things he could make her do.
Daughter, you still wearing the clothes you wore this morning, go to your room and change. Captain Kento is there with the outsiders, stay there with them until I call for you, send the captain out, he should be next to me when we welcome The Baron.
She took off to her room. When she arrived it was full, the 6 outsiders were there, plus 4 soldiers inside and 4 soldiers outside, the door was open and captain Kento stood in front of it.
Captain, you heard the news.? I am sent to my room to change, if you could take everybody out for some privacy. You should then go to my father; I’ll make sure the outsiders stay in my room once I am done.
Of course Miss Luna, he turned around and nodded to his soldiers they all grabbed an outsider and pushed them outside of the room. Cyrus and captain Osana were smart enough to follow without any trouble.
She quickly changed into her formal clothes. A long wide white dress with a corset and shoes with a small lift in the heel. She put her hair down and tried to comb it straight. The more formal I look, the less of a chance I have that father asks me to help with the surgery. It all took no more than 10 minutes, when she stepped out in the hallway, everybody was staring at her. A couple of them started blushing but it was the sergeant under the captain who first found his voice. Miss Luna, that’s a big transformation in 10 minutes time. The Baron will sure be impressed with you.
Well thank you Sergeant, that was exactly what I was going for. She send a quick glance towards Cyrus, who by all accounts was at least looking her in the eyes, something that couldn’t be said from the rest of the crewmembers.
Sergeant, if you could send some of your soldiers to the horses, I have a feeling we’ll be needing some of them later today. I will stay here with the outsiders; your soldiers can wait outside the door. I believe Cyrus and captain Osana can keep their men in line.? She send another glance towards Cyrus.
Of course Miss Luna, I will teach them the manners they never learned back home, or on the ship for that matter. He raised his voice on that last sentence, when he realized the crew were still looking at Luna in a quite inappropriate way. They diverted their eyes as quickly as they could and walked inside the room with their eyes to the floor.
