Who is your favorite villain?

In both series and movies, have you ever watched a villain so terrible and ruthless that he has earned the popularity of the public and stood out so much for his performance that he has earned your admiration and/or your idolatry? Maybe, because of his origin story, he or she has even earned your respect and consideration, or even better, you have become his/her number one fan.
