The Challenges and Limitations of Using AI for Long-Form Content Creation

I use Claude AI to develop long-form content, but I often run into limitations. The AI resource depletes quickly, and I’m forced to wait three hours for it to renew. While I find AI tools like ChatGPT and Claude valuable for professional use, I’m far from fully satisfied with their capabilities when it comes to creating long, cohesive texts. As a creator, I can confidently say that AI still has a long way to go before it matches the sophistication of human thought, particularly in tasks like nuanced writing. AI tools excel in brainstorming and proofreading for style, but they struggle with maintaining coherence in extended pieces. Often, they lose the thread of a conversation, repeat themselves, or fail to deliver consistent output. One of the most frustrating aspects of using Claude AI is how quickly resources are consumed when working on lengthy topics. If the conversation becomes too long, the tool suggests starting a new chat. However, the new chat isn’t linked to the previous one, so I have to manually reintroduce the context, even if I ask Claude to summarize and continue from where we left off. This lack of continuity is time-consuming and disruptive. From my experience, Claude AI performs well with short, concise content such as memes or brief posts, but it struggles to handle complex, in-depth material. I’m curious to hear your experiences, particularly those of fellow writers. How do you navigate these challenges when working with AI tools?
