For 3 days, a Boeing 747 has been floating above a provincial village, completely motionless.
It is positioned at an altitude of 4,635 meters, exactly above the village church. Its SSE orientation corresponds to the direction of its intended arrival airport, as if frozen in time for 81 hours. It is visible from the ground during daylight with good visibility and weather conditions, and its position lights (red on port (left), green on starboard (right), and white at the rear) flash during the night. It is also visible on aeronautical instrumentation systems (radar, active transponder).
We arrive in the village with 45 explorers and begin by attempting to contact the crew by radio: We connect the radio equipment to the usual distress frequency. After 3 minutes of static, a mechanical voice begins to loop:
"TWA 800, altitude 4,267 meters, heading 142, speed 490 knots... Air France 447, altitude 10,668 meters, heading 180, speed 475 knots... Flight 19, altitude 908 meters, heading 270, speed 167 knots... MH370, altitude 10,972 meters, heading 025, speed 471 knots..."
The team immediately recognizes these identifiers: each mentioned flight corresponds to an unexplained aerial disappearance. The voice continues to list for 17 minutes before the transmission abruptly stops.

Losses: 2
Notes:
Village testimonies converge on a disturbing phenomenon. The aircraft's shadow, perfectly defined, moves across the village following the sun's path. Three disappearances have been reported since the aircraft's appearance:
- An elderly woman hanging laundry at 9:47
- A postman on his bicycle at 14:23
- A teenager crossing the church square at 16:08
Witnesses describe the same scenario: the victim, once covered by the shadow, seems to sink into the ground as if absorbed by a liquid surface. Two explorers attempted to rescue the last victim by pulling their arms. They were partially sucked in with them. Their upper limbs, cleanly severed at the shadow's edge, were never found.
We have mapped the shadow's trajectory and identified an optimal intervention window at 11:32. The team is currently positioning themselves on the church square.
11:28: Deployment of the intervention team. 12 explorers in triangular formation, connected by reinforced kevlar harnesses. Distance of 2.3m between each member.
Initial measurements:
- Atmospheric pressure: 1013.25 hPa
- Temperature: 12.3°C
- Relative humidity: 67%
- Magnetic field: 47.2 µT
- Gravitational waves: 0.0 Hz (anomaly: should be unmeasurable with our equipment)
11:29: Aircraft shadow visible at 43 meters. Progression: 1.7m/minute.
Gravitational wave detectors record peaks of 3.7 Hz
The team's compass simultaneously indicates North in 3 different directions
The air becomes visible, forming distortion waves like heat
11:30: Shadow distance: 28 meters.
Sudden increase in local gravity: 10.2 m/s²
Digital watches display random number sequences
Gravitational waves: 12.4 Hz, increasing amplitude
Sound seems to propagate in slow motion, voices become deep and stretched
11:31:
Shadow is 12 meters away.
Gravity: 12.8 m/s²
Temperature dropping to -3°C
Gravitational waves reach 24.8 Hz, creating a vibration sensation in internal organs
The shadow appears to "breathe," contracting and expanding at a 0.5 Hz rhythm
Visual distortion phenomenon: shadow seems "deeper than the ground"
Explorers report a sensation of "pulling upward" despite increased gravity
Three explorers experience simultaneous nosebleeds
11:31:45 :
Shadow touches the first explorers
Measured gravity: 15.4 m/s²
Their legs sink into the ground like black liquid
Screams are distorted, slowed, as if played at reduced speed
Nosebleed blood rises skyward in droplets
11:31:58 :
Formation completely covered by shadow
Last gravity measurement: 18.9 m/s²
Bodies sink to waist level
Harnesses stretch to their structural limit (2.3 tons of tension measured)
Blue electrical arcs crackle between explorers
11:32:00 :
Complete instrument blackout.
11:32:47 :
Regaining consciousness inside the aircraft. Position: rear cargo hold
REAR CARGO HOLD:
The team begins exploring the room. Atmospheric pressure variations (brutal oscillations between 800 and 1200 hPa) cause unbearable pain in sinus cavities. Two explorers suffer convulsions when pressure drops then rises 400 hPa in less than 2 seconds.
Gravitational waves (8.2 Hz) create "pockets" where gravity momentarily reverses. Explorer #4 is projected to the ceiling then falls brutally when the effect ceases. Fatal cranial trauma.
Luggage compartments animate autonomously, their doors slamming violently in an unpredictable pattern. Temperature varies erratically between -15°C and +45°C.
11:40 :
Discovery of first animals. Cages contain mainly dogs and cats, all in advanced decomposition but still moving. A particularly decomposed German shepherd attempts to bite through the bars, pieces of flesh detaching with each movement. Explorer #7 notes that all animals' eyes are turned in the same direction, toward a pile of luggage at the back of the hold.
11:45 :
Luggage investigation. Some suitcases ooze a black, viscous substance. Analysis reveals impossible composition: matter seems to change molecular structure every 3 seconds.
11:47 :
Explorer #8 makes contact with the substance. His skin immediately begins absorbing it against his will. The product travels up his veins, visible under the skin, to his face. Before intervention is possible, he opens a suitcase full of black liquid and plunges head first. The container closes behind him. Impossible to reopen.
Children's voices begin calling from inside other luggage. Explorer #12 opens a small pink suitcase from which a particularly distinct call emanates. His face freezes in an expression of ecstasy. He whispers "It's so comfortable inside... so peaceful..." before beginning to contort to fit into the suitcase. Three team members try to hold him back but gravitational wave force suddenly increases at that precise location (peak at 12.4 Hz), throwing them backward. He manages to slip entirely into the suitcase despite its manifestly insufficient size.
11:52 :
The floor begins to "breathe," rising and falling like a giant thorax. The team decides to progress toward the stairs leading to the rear galley.
GALLEY:
12:15 :
Losses: 2
Notes:
The rear galley is a maze of metal compartments whose doors lock and unlock randomly. Explorers note that service carts contain half-consumed meals still steaming. Thermal analysis reveals a temperature of 72°C, as if freshly served.
Gravitational waves reach 15.7 Hz, causing visual distortions: objects leave "trails" in the air for 3 seconds, making orientation increasingly difficult. Explorer #15 becomes separated from the group for 4 minutes, swearing he crossed the same kitchen section "at least twelve times."
12:23 :
Explorers' body temperature drops to 36.5°C. Bathroom taps activate spontaneously, water defying gravity to form perfectly immobile liquid columns rising to the ceiling. Explorer #17 attempts to take a sample: the liquid "catches" his arm and pulls him upward. His body is found folded in half above the compartment, as if sucked into the ceiling.
12:31 :
Discovery of messages engraved in bathroom doors. Analysis of depth and oxidation: some inscriptions appear to be carving themselves. Messages repeat in several languages: "LOST LOST LOST" and GPS coordinates – all corresponding to zones where planes have disappeared – changing every 6 seconds.
Explorer #21, attempting to document inscriptions, remains trapped in one of the bathrooms for what seems to him "weeks" while only 45 seconds elapsed for the rest of the team. He dies minutes later from dehydration.
ECONOMY CLASS:
13:00 :
Losses: 4
Notes:
Upon entering economy class, distortions intensify. Objects now leave 7-second trails, creating a stroboscopic effect that completely disorients the team. Oxygen masks hang from the ceiling, diffusing a substance that instantly ages the plastic of masks, but not the supply tube.
Passengers are present, in their seats, all turned toward their respective windows, hands pressed against the glass. Their nails have grown several centimeters, embedding into the plexiglass.
BUSINESS CLASS:
13:45 :
Gravitational waves: 23.4 Hz
Body temperature: 35.8°C
Team reaches business class. Each window shows a different view. Explorer #9 identifies view from window 23A as the Flight 191 crash site in Chicago, one second before impact.
Business passengers seem to have merged with their seats. Their clothes are intact but their flesh mingles with the leather of the chairs. Their watches still work, each indicating a different era.
FIRST CLASS:
14:30 :
Gravitational waves: 31.8 Hz
Body temperature: 34.9°C
First class is filled with perfectly immobile, conscious passengers. Their eyes follow team movements. Some communicate through eye blinks in Morse code, repeating geographical coordinates of places where planes have disappeared.
Team notes their own shadows no longer correspond to their movements, seeming to have several seconds delay and sometimes moving in impossible directions.
COCKPIT:
15:00 :
Losses: 7
Notes:
First attempt at opening cockpit door. Abnormal resistance noted - handle seems to vibrate at same frequency as gravitational waves (now at 37.2 Hz).
15:02 :
Explorers #3, #11, and #16 enter cockpit.
• Temperature: -42°C
• Atmospheric pressure: 247 hPa (equivalent to 11,000m altitude)
• Instruments: all dials turning counterclockwise, needles leaving phosphorescent trails
• Radar displays hundreds of aircraft converging on their position
• Altimeter spins like a malfunctioning clock: +8000m, -300m, +12000m within seconds
Both pilots present, their flesh seems to detach from bones in entire plates floating in air. They continue frantically operating controls. Copilot turns head 180° toward explorers, jaw detaches and falls on dashboard. Team rushes out.
15:07 :
Second attempt. Door opens to different cockpit.
• Windshield shows ground approaching at dizzying speed
• Pilots have empty eye sockets but continue flying
• Radio: calm voice lists names of all passengers who died in plane crashes since 1920
• Ground now at 200 meters
• Explorer #16 projected into copilot seat, hands merge with controls
• Impact in 3... 2... 1...
Door closes itself. When reopened, #16 has vanished.
15:13 :
Third attempt.
• Dials replaced by clocks turning at different speeds
• Altimeter shows depth of -9800m (impossible)
• Artificial horizon spins like a top
• Pilots' skin peels off in strips, revealing black substance underneath
• Strident alarm sounds: "TERRAIN TERRAIN PULL UP"
• Radio crackles: "UNAUTHORIZED... GO BACK... WRONG PLANE..."
• Explorer #11 begins bleeding from nose and eyes, screaming he sees all crashes simultaneously
15:17 :
Fourth and final attempt.
• Cockpit filled with extra seats, all occupied by copies of same pilots in different states of decomposition
• All manipulate controls simultaneously
• Dials show all vital parameters of remaining explorers
• Radio broadcasts their last thoughts
• Explorer #3 recognizes own voice announcing imminent death
• Remaining explorers #3 and #11 sucked toward dashboard, bodies twisting impossibly to insert into dials
Team decides to seal cockpit access and continue to upper deck.
February 5, 2004 :
After analyzing historical archives, we identified the horror: Labyros, entity linked to primal fear of disorientation and eternal wandering. Mentioned in Minoan texts describing a creature "who leads travelers astray in the meanders of time and space." Its symbolic number is 8, representing vertical infinity, the endless cycle of those who wander.
UPPER DECK:
15:30 :
Losses: 5
Notes:
Access to upper deck defies all Euclidean logic. Spiral staircase seems to extend indefinitely upward while counting exactly 8 steps. Explorers attempting to descend find themselves higher than before.
Final measurements:
- Gravitational waves: 88.8 Hz
- Survivors' body temperature: 32°C and falling
- Atmospheric pressure oscillating between -300 hPa and +2400 hPa
- Measuring instruments simultaneously display 8 different values
- Radio communications catching distress calls from people "lost between dimensions"
15:45 :
First visual contact with horror:
A mass of twisted corridors and impossible stairs forming non-Euclidean geometry. At its center, a figure composed of intertwined emergency exit doors, some still illuminated. Fragments of "EXIT" signs flash desynchronously. Human arms emerge between doors, frantically pointing in all directions.
Horror surrounded by travelers frozen mid-run, bodies twisted at impossible angles, some partially disappearing into non-existent walls. Their mouths open in silent screams, eyes replaced by frantic compasses.
Symptoms upon approach:
- Total loss of sense of direction
- Explorers see their own backs in front of them
- Sensation of walking simultaneously on walls, ceiling, and floor
- Concept of "direction" becomes incomprehensible
- Limbs involuntarily twist to form infinity symbol
16:00 :
The Sacrifice:
Archives suggest entity can only be banished by offering 8 "truly lost" souls.
Team selects 8 explorers. They are blindfolded and spun around for 8 minutes. Then made to advance in 8 different directions simultaneously (gravitational waves allowing this spatial paradox).
When the Chosen reach the horror, their bodies disassemble into ribbons of flesh that interweave to form a new impossible corridor. Entity absorbs this new geometry and begins folding into itself, taking with it all lost travelers it has collected through ages.
16:08 :
Aircraft returns to normal configuration and resumes its trajectory as if nothing happened. Bodies of missing never found.
However, entity left behind a relic: a black box of unknown model, whose casing seems made of same black alloy as first flight recorders, but with slightly... incorrect geometry. Angles don't quite form 90 degrees when observed directly.
First laboratory tests:
Box continuously broadcasts on all known emergency frequencies
Recordings seem to come simultaneously from dozens of missing aircraft
Pilots' voices overlap in cacophony of distress messages
Some messages seem to come from planes that haven't yet taken off
Background noise identified: thousands of compasses going haywire simultaneously
Technicians who listen to recording for more than 8 minutes develop irrational fear of orientation. Three found wandering laboratory corridors, unable to recognize right from left, murmuring GPS coordinates that don't exist.
Black box placed in containment locker 8-88-B8, in specially designed room where concept of direction has no meaning. Research continues.
