What is a Bonfire?
A Bonfire is a sensemaking device; it makes sense of unstructured data using LLM processes and uses this knowledge to support users with their projects and tasks, harnessing state of the art reasonsing pipelines and Ethereum-based technologies.
Users can deploy their own Bonfire, with its own mission, by hosting an IBO (Initial Bonfire Offering) or they can join an existing Bonfire, working towards their collective mission, all via the bonfires.ai app.
Bonfires are designed for group interactions; a multiplayer-native coordination layer where humans and AI agents operate together as cooperative swarms enabling both onchain and offchain communities to align, organise, and act on shared intent.
Groups can powerfully coordinate around a task or project just by feeding context into a Bonfire, data sources from across our lives:
- Telegram chats, voice notes
- meeting transcripts, documents
- onchain data and governance forums
- code etc.
By ingesting and structuring this context, Bonfires create a knowledge base that AI agents can navigate. They prompt and explain the state of the Bonfire and request documents and conversations about specific subjects, to fulfill data requirements. This knowledge base represents the spirit of your collective; an anchor to consult to guide the team's action towards its ultimate goals.
Bonfires connect to each other through a shared knowledge commons, Knowledge Network. Each Bonfire's knowledge base can be packaged and shared vida Knowledge Network. Contributions to the network that are used by Bonfires and others will be rewarded with $KNOW tokens, forming the foundations of a Knowledge Backed Economy.

What are agENTs?
agENTs are the native framework of bonfires.ai.
Every Bonfire has its dutiful agENT to interface between the users and the Bonfire's structured data. Our agENT framework excels at turning the abstract Bonfire into action through task management, context elicitation and conflict resolution.
agENTs are capable of interacting with Ethereum, MCP tools, Telegram, workflows and a bunch of cool quality of life features that make working with them a pleasure.
Onchain agents become truly useful when they can reliably follow the needs of the collective. Our build enables this, as a sensemaking primitive for multi agent interactions.
Bonfires and Cosmolocalism
It recommends the localisation of manufacturing and supply chains wherever possible, drawing on the globally accessible design and knowledge commons via the internet to empower local processes.
