In the heart of the emerald sea, there was a quiet island where the wind always whispered old secrets. On that island lived a young boy named Tama, who loved to explore the shore with his wooden boat.
One day, while fishing, Tama saw something shining in the water. Curious, he dived in and found a golden turtle trapped in a net. Carefully, he freed it.
To his surprise, the turtle spoke. “Thank you, Tama. I am no ordinary turtle. I am the Guardian of the Ocean.”
The turtle swam in a circle and a wave of light shimmered. “You have a pure heart. Ask for one wish, and I shall grant it.”
Tama thought carefully. “I wish my island always has fresh water and fish for the people.”
The turtle nodded. “A noble wish. Because of your kindness, the island shall never go dry or hungry.”
Before leaving, the turtle gave Tama a golden shell. “If ever the island is in danger, place this shell on the highest rock.”
Years passed, and Tama grew up to be a wise leader. One day, a giant storm approached. Remembering the turtle’s words, Tama climbed the tallest cliff and placed the golden shell on a rock.
The sky calmed, the storm faded, and the sea sang once more. The people cheered, and Tama looked at the horizon, smiling — for he knew the turtle still watched over them.
