Before we can accomplish something meaningful, proper, and decent, we will mess up A LOT.And making mistakes is totally normal. However, every mistake comes with a price to pay. It just varies in terms of severity, whether it’s obvious or hidden, or what we have to sacrifice.Good VIRTUES help reduce the risks of making bad choices or lessen the cost we pay when we screw up. Plus, they increase the odds of getting lucky enough to turn things around. Just something to ponder. For VIRTUES to be most effective, they should feel “natural”—using them without overthinking, without effort. If you want to see what kind of good or bad traits you’ve got at this level, look at your attitude, thoughts, and actions when you’re not paying attention or in situations where you can’t pay attention. Like in sudden high-pressure moments, or when you’re drained and exhausted. It’s worth paying attention to and refining your virtues because, beyond skills and expertise, they play a huge role in determining how your life turns out.Especially observe yourself when you’re tired or stressed—that’s when your true self shines through the most.Crimes or bad actions that shape our fate usually happen when our mind is in a rotten state—exhausted, stressed, out of control. And that foggy, tired state? It takes up a big chunk of our lives. You’ve got to know what your flaws are before you can start managing and controlling them. And managing the bad stuff is the first step toward cultivating better virtues. Most people want to achieve some lofty, divine A-B-C or X-Y-Z. But when it comes to the practical, down-to-earth work of refining virtues and fixing flaws, no one wants to do it. That’s why you see all these goofy, distorted spiritual practices popping up.I’m about to keep working on my virtues through training, hard work, and learning. Here’s to a productive new week where I can fix up a bunch of stuff, fam!Cool pic.“Everyone’s got a plan until they get punched in the face.”“Everyone’s a good person until they’re not.” Sounds obvious, but that’s how it is. Haha.Don’t mess around with yourself or this life—being careless or sloppy is a fast track to sinking into a self-destructive swamp.P.S. Having a solid mentor can seriously cut down on the cost of mistakes.giải thích về đức tínhvai trò của thiền định
