It’s 11:45 pm January 24th, 2025, and I’m sitting on this couch in the parlour with my laptop on my lap, while my long legs are stretched on a table stool.
After 2 years here’s part 2 of my Discovering Your Purpose series, you’re officially welcome.
If you missed out on part one here you go part 1
Speaking of my 1st Article
- I did not post a new YouTube video every week
- I did not publish at least one article weekly on medium
- I didn’t learn a new word daily
- I didn’t become a blockchain developer
- I took a long break from crypto trading
- I also dropped out from the NITDA blockchain scholarship (I didn’t have a laptop as of then)
2023 & 2024 had their moments, the ups and downs, times when I felt happy and times when I felt sad but then I’m grateful for both that’s what makes life beautiful!
Reminiscing on how the last two years have been I’m grateful for a lot
- Grateful to God for life, sound health, love from family, supportive relatives, and a few friends
- Got my first web3 job
- Produced 60+ contents (Video and Written)
- Graduated from university
- Got my dream phone (I have a bigger dream now lol)
- Visited some tourist sites
- Got a very decent laptop
- I ate every food I have always craved
- Read a lot of books
RISKS
I did take a lot of risks both good and bad, my perspective on life has increased from the last time I wrote this article and that’s what growth and discovery of your purpose in life is, discovering your purpose isn’t a destination it is a journey.
It all comes down to the ability to be better than a day before, your present self being better than your past self and your present self working towards your future self being better than your present self ( I feel like Aristotle after writing this LOL).
Here are some risks I took within the last two years
- There was a period when I had $22.4 across all wallets Including bank accounts, and guess what I used all of it to buy tokens on pancakeswap and pinksale! This and many more were some risky financial decisions I made within the last 2 years. Did I regret them? NO, would I repeat such a stunt in the future hell nah!
- Launched a meme project on solana and the community rugged me, it’s a crazy world out here man.
- I resigned at once from two projects I was working with (without any backup job), due to internal conflict within the teams that was affecting my pay (they were owed me for months), it took me 5 days to recover from that situation, so when someone tells me they are working in a toxic environment I know how it feels.
- I spent my life savings on a single gadget and used the remaining change to buy data and mini gadgets for the gadget, I did not regret
- I started building in public, yes building in public is a risk, trust me…
LOVELIFE
Hehe hehe…, story for another day.
Lesson learned
- God is the greatest
- Share the knowledge you have it will let you learn more
- Don’t expect much from others (Because you consider yourself good to people doesn’t mean they will treat you well)
- Family is one of the most important things in life
- Keep updating yourself
- You can’t control everything but you’re responsible for everything
- Seeks advice but make your decision
- It’s okay to feel down and confused but it’s not okay to stay down and confused.
