"A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step." Today, I deeply realized the importance of shoes.
When I went out in the morning, I took a pair of old sandals and put them on for convenience, and I didn't care too much that they were damaged. At first, walking on the flat road of the community didn't feel anything strange. But just not far from the community, I regretted it. Suddenly, the sandals at the foot "snapped", and the soles of the shoes actually opened, and half of them hung on the ground. Every step was very laborious, just like dragging a chain weighing one thousand pounds. I can only move forward in small steps, not to mention awkward posture. I feel that pedestrians on the road are casting strange eyes at me, and my face is flushed instantly, which is extremely embarrassing.
I had no choice but to find a bench by the side of the road and try to glue the soles back. But there is no glue at hand, and it doesn't help to fiddle with it for a long time. At this moment, I saw an uncle who was running in the morning next to me running briskly in professional running shoes, with light and rhythmic steps, which seemed to take him flying on the road. I can't help thinking that if I had worn a pair of good shoes today, I wouldn't be trapped here now.
I finally dawdled to school, and my feet were suffering all day. During the break, the students laughed and played, but I had to sit in my seat because of my shoes, for fear that my shoes would completely fall apart if I walked too much. Physical education class is a "nightmare", watching my classmates running and jumping on the playground in their sports shoes, but I can only walk carefully and dare not let go of my activities.
When I got home from school, the first thing I did was throw those "culprits" into the trash can, and then I found my comfortable sneakers from the shoe cabinet. I put them on and walked around the house for a few times, and suddenly I felt my feet were gently wrapped, which was unprecedented and practical.
After this day, I understand that shoes are more than just things to decorate our feet. They are related to whether our actions are convenient, whether our bodies are comfortable or not, and even affect our mood. When I go out in the future, I must carefully choose this pair of "partners" under my feet and let them take me forward steadily.
