Planting flowers in winter

In many people's eyes, winter is the season when everything withers, but for me who love flowers, winter is also a good time to grow flowers. Today, I decided to plant some beautiful flowers in this cold season to add a touch of color to my life.

First of all, I began to choose flower varieties suitable for winter planting. After some research, I chose pansy, kale and corydalis. These flowers have strong cold tolerance and can grow and bloom in winter.

Then, I prepared the tools and materials needed for planting, including flowerpots, flower soil, shovels, kettles and so on. I chose a pot with good air permeability, and the flower soil is specially purchased nutrient soil, which is rich in various nutrients needed for flower growth.

Started planting. I first spread a layer of pebbles on the bottom of the flowerpot to increase the drainage. Then, pour the nutrient soil into the flowerpot, which is about two-thirds of the flowerpot. Next, I carefully took out the seedlings of pansy, gently put them in a flowerpot, then covered the roots with soil and compacted them gently. Kale and corydalis are also planted in the same way.

After planting, I watered each pot of flowers with a proper amount of water. Because of the low temperature in winter and slow evaporation of water, we should not water too much to avoid root rot. When watering, I used a watering can to make the water evenly spread on the soil surface.

In order to make the flowers grow better, I also put the flowerpot in a sunny place. Although the sunshine in winter is not as strong as that in summer, it is still very important for the growth of flowers. At the same time, I also pay attention to keep the indoor temperature to prevent flowers from being attacked by cold.

I will observe the growth of these flowers every day in the following days. I will water and fertilize them in time, and trim dead leaves and flowers. Watching these little seedlings grow up under my careful care, my heart is full of expectation and joy.
