The few who dared venture into the depths of the Phaver Lagoon had, by the time Astro reached there, gotten wind of an enchanted relic, a crystal of such power as to bend the ocean's tides. Yet, the whereabouts of the mythical Crystal of Tides lay in ruins for centuries, buried under never-ending sands behind which history—Until now.
Until now.
The further he dived into the lagoon, the water grew colder, losing the familiar coral and life teeming in abandoning, desolate, rolling hills of sand. The rare lights reflecting from [$SOCAIL] coins littered the ocean floor, and those coins glimmered faintly, throwing a beacon toward something better and greater.
Suddenly there came a wild tide that started pulling Astro towards the Abyssal Sands. Struggling to submerge from the intense flow, he saw something shining ahead of him. There was the Crystal of Tides, half buried in the sand, a hefty jewel that glimmered and swayed with a dim blue power that rippled the emotion of the ocean.
But as Astro reached for the crystal, the sand started to shake, and from under the dunes emerged great beasts-the Tide Guardians-giant swirling and shifting forms of living whirlpools. They spoke to him in the ancient tongue of the ocean, warning him not to underestimate the powers this crystal possessed, for to use them unwisely would let chaos reign over the seas.
Astro held himself, realizing what the stone spoke of. He himself did not wish for power; all he wanted was to restore balance to the Phaver Lagoon and its fauna. Now, with a gentle tone, he answered back in realization that he represented his fellow Phaverians in questing for $SOCIAL merely to restore the ocean's health.
They listened to the words of the Tide Guardians, and then slowly withdrew. This allowed Astro to step toward the crystal. As soon as his fingers touched the crystal's low-profile surface, the sea seemed to hold its breath. Then, with a faint hum, the crystal lifted from the sand and suspended itself in water. The currents lay calm around him, and the ocean was filled with blinding light as if the tides were now at his command.
Now with the Crystal of Tides in hand, Astro knew his responsibilities extended from the lagoon to all corners of the ocean. The quest was thus to start, and along with people of Phaver Lagoon, he would introduce protection against the seas' imbalance and chaos to secure the future for generations to come.
