AHOY!!!
My Favorite Sea lads and Lasses
Today’s adventure starts far from home, far from the comfort of our precious phaver lagoon, I and the crew had been sailing for weeks in search of the next great adventure, before we knew it we had ended up in the great Asian oceans, since we were in uncharted waters we decided to explore this new frontier some more as we sailed deep into the oceans we got to a path that had wrecked ships everywhere it almost looked like we were in a watery ship graveyard
but knowing the courage of my fellow phaver lagoonians crew mates which happens to make them one of the best sea lads I the whole seven seas, I told them to press on as we sailed past so much ship wreckages, as we move deep into this new domain, dark mystic clouds start to engulf the phaver lagoon ship with thick black smoke causing the whole crew and I to fall silent in awe and uncertainty of what lies ahead of this journey
As we sailed in silence I started to ponder how we would navigate out of this mist because I was having terrible feelings something could happen to us at any time if we stayed in the mystic clouds for such a long time, that is when it started, at first it felt like the lagoon ship was rocking back and forth from some kind of unseen wave, after that a violent vibrating went through the ship, causing the crew members to hang on whatever they could hold before they get thrown overboard, that’s when we saw it a terrifying sight. Rising from the depths of the sea was a monstrous creature, an Umibōzu. The creature was as tall as the mast of the phaver lagoon ship, with eyes that glowed like the moon.
The crew was paralyzed with fear, but then I remembered strange old man with a sombrero hat had come through the phaver lagoon tavern a couple of months past and he had told me about such creature deep in the Asia seas. The Umibōzu, a sea spirit that capsized ships of those who dared to speak to it. The old man also told me so of his weakness and ways I could maneuver this terrible monster
So I stepped forward on the deck to try and see if it could reason with this great beast, my trusty blades in hand and gleaming in the moonlight. "Umibōzu," he bellowed, "I am the pirate captain of phaver lagoon, and I fear no creature, land or sea. We mean you no harm. Let us pass, and we shall respect your domain."
The Umibōzu stared at me, its gaze piercing through the storm. Then, to everyone's surprise it acted like he didn’t have any issues with us, as it slowly sank back into the sea, leaving only ripples behind. the crew were excited and happiness, hoping we are free from this monster’s terror but I wasn’t convinced while just cheered with joy and sang I was still looking into the deep blue curious... in a split second the monster arose from the waters with so much force the phaver lagoon ship was pushed back with a great wave
The Umibōzu roared, sending a chilling echo across the sea. It raised a massive arm, aiming to smash the ship. But I was quicker steering the ship, narrowly avoiding the creature's attack
I ordered the crew to load up the canons with tobacco leaves and “FIRE” it at the Umibōzu, the canon hit all about his body with hot tobacco smoke causing the monster irritation and moaning in pain, but not relenting the monster tried to trap the ship with a smoky tornado circling the ship and lifting it from the water in the air, I shouted another round of canon fire and this time the canons hit the Umibōzu on its head causing it to lose its concentration, the smoky tornado
disappears and the ship slammed back into the oceans causing a huge splash of waves in all direction
the monster stretched his arm for another ship wrecking attack, but my ever ready ship crew had done another quick maneuver, while that was going on I leaped onto the creature's arm as it pulled back from the missed attack. With a swift movement, I ran my trusty blade across the Umibōzu’s arm. The creature roared in anger, shaking its arm violently, but couldn’t get me off, I climbed up to the creature's shoulder, my grip firm on the wet, slippery surface. Once I had reached the head of the monster, I plunged my swords into the Umibōzu’s head. The creature let out a deafening roar, its body thrashing wildly in the sea. Quickly I slid down the creature's arm and back onto the phaver lagoon ship. As I touch deck I ordered the crew to move away as the Umibōzu thrashed about.
After a few moments, the creature's movements slowed, apparently it had discovered it couldn’t defeat us so easily, so it spoke in a langue we couldn’t recognize then it pointed at a barrel on the deck requesting we gave it to him... that was when I remember an important part of the old man's "tale" he said the best way to defeat a Umibōzu is by deceiving it, he said if it request for a barrel it is going to use it as a portal to flood the ship with endless water floored from it
So quickly I decide to take the old man's words for it and test the creature but instead of giving it a proper barrel I gave it a barrel with no bottom, while the monster tried to figure out while his magic water wasn’t flowing from the barrel I order the crew to steer the ship away for our escape, we could hear the monster roaring in anger and confusion in the distance
The old man had saved me, the crew and our ship. Our encounter with the Umibōzu became a legendary tale, a testament to our courage and respect for the sea.
The End.
