All of the social media we use today can't be separated fromflowTwo words. Update the content every day, expect fans to pay attention to the likes and comments, and often worry about whether the words are "sensitive." Accidentally being blocked, it is easy for me to update this hard for a few years of account suddenly lost contact with my family.Controlled by regulation and platform monopolies"This is also an important reason why we look forward to the Web3 social platform.

Web3 exists on the basis of blockchain, promising to return privacy and digital identity to users while enabling new levels of interaction thanks to NFT and go to dApps. The vision of Web3 is to be based on open source protocols, with commercial interfaces, providing easy access and much more. Based on the characteristics of Web3, Web3 has an impact on the centralized mechanism of Web2 social platform.

When it comes to Web3's social protocol development, the first thing that comes to mind isLens Protocol,LensThe protocol uses cryptographic addresses and NFTs for identity verification and monetization, and is now a strong decentralized competitor to the Web2 social giants.

At present, there are nearly 100 applications and cooperation within the Lens ecosystem, with strong basic capabilities and ambitious future, and is expected to become an important foundation of the Web3 world.

Today weLens-relatedBabysitter RaidersShare it with everyone.

What is Lens Protocol?

Lens Protocol is a social graph deployed on the Polygon Proof-of-Stake (POS) blockchain, officially released by the decentralized lending protocol Aave. The aim is to allow creators to have their own connections to the community, by allowing users to create profiles and allow different user profiles to interact with each other, forming a fully composable, decentralized social graph.

And we usually tweet, post Official Account message template, has the function of editing personal profile, fan attention, comment forwarding and so on.The difference is that all the behavior generated by the user on the Lens Protocol is stored on the chain in the form of NFT.Allow users to own all the content they create.

And, from the beginning, the protocol emphasizes "modularity." The Lens protocol, which is currently overseen by a multisig, will be extended to a broader DAO, allowing new features and fixes to be added while ensuring that the content and social relationships that users own are immutable.

What can Lens Protocol do?

Anything you want to create and share, you can do by "posting on social media."

release

"Publishing" refers to all original content, reviews, and mirrored content produced by creators, curators, and users. Specifically, there are three main types: posts, reviews, and mirrors. Posts are the basic object, while mirroring and comments provide additional functionality.

Once published, there is a Content URI that points to the specific content included at the time of publication, which can point to text, images, videos, or any other content stored in a decentralized protocol like IPFS or Arweave or a centralized storage provider like AWS S3.

The release also has two subsidiary modules, a collection module and a reference module. The collection module contains logic that allows other users to integrate your publications into the NFT. This NFT will reference the URI of the original publication. The reference module controls references to the publication itself. It contains the logic for deciding who can review and mirror the publication.

Collection

Collections allow creators to monetize their content. Because creators own their content through the Lens agreement, they are able to get their fans to buy that content.

When users post a publication on their profile NFT, they have the option to set up a collection module. Allow collection to be open for a certain amount of time or only allow a certain amount of collection. Developers can also make their collection modules to add more functionality. This module will allow other users to cast NFT, linked to the publication's ContentURI. This module can contain any arbitrary logic to be applied to the minting process and the resulting NFT.

mirror image

Mirroring is equivalent to forwarding this secondary propagation content. Mirroring is handled the same way as releasing, with a few more checks and some minor features.

Since mirrors refer to other publications, they are subject to the conditions of the reference module of the original publication. If a publication's reference module restricts mirroring only to the account of the original poster, and the mirror account does not hold the NFT, then the mirror transaction will fail.

Since mirrors only republish existing content, they do not have a ContentURI field and therefore cannot be collected, nor do they have their own collection module. Mirroring can have its own reference module, which can define which accounts will be able to mirror or comment on mirroring.

follow

The "attention" on the Lens Protocol is different from the attention in Web2 social apps. When users follow a profile on the Lens protocol, they get a Follow-NFT that the creator and community can encode with additional value.

A profile NFT can attach a specific follow module to each profile NFT that contains all the logic used to determine whether a user attempting to follow that profile should be issued a follow NFT. For example, a Profiles can attach a follow module that requires the user to pay 5 MATIC for a follow NFT.

In addition, FollowNFT has built-in governance capabilities, such as voting authorization, to allow the creation of social DAOs using the Lens protocol. Creators, DAOs, or other organizations can create polls using FollowNFT and its various properties.

Comment

Comments allow users to add additional comments to other published content. They are handled in the same way as basic releases, with additional checks and features. Like the publishing feature, comments exist in the user's profile NFT and are therefore fully owned by the user.

Just like regular publishing, reviews also have a collection and reference module. The collection module defines how comments are cast into an NFT that references the comment content URI. The reference module contains the logic for deciding who can comment or mirror new comments.

Create a profile

ProfileNFT is composable, unmanaged, and permissionless. It contains a history of all the posts, mirrors, comments, and other content you've generated. Profile NFT is the main object in the Lens protocol. It is the right to this NFT that gives you control over your content. Individual addresses have Profile NFTs, and an address can contain multiple Profile NFTs.

In addition, the Profile NFT also includes a Follow Module. This module contains logic that allows different accounts to issue a FollowNFT to record their relationship with the main profile on the chain.

Built-in governance

After understanding the above, one of the best things about lens is that it can quickly start creating a dao. When you follow someone on Lens Protocol, you get a unique FollowNFT that has an incremented token ID, which makes voting simple. Any profile can launch a DAO in minutes, for example, you can get your top 100 token ID followers to vote, and users can prove to be the ruler of a community by virtue of their relevant credentials.

How new users enter the Lens ecosystem

The Lens Protocol is available to individuals, independent teams, non-profit organizations, companies, Universities and academics have opened up participation programs, early on distributing Profiles to the community by signing open letters and working with project partners. Users who receive Profiles can set up Lens Handles and then use their accounts on Lens-based products.

There was also an event earlier this year, where users who signed open letters could mint their own ProfileNFT, when there were so many participants that the background almost collapsed.

It can be said that LENS airdrop does not have fixed rules, it is not easy to take, we have compiled a skill guide according to the information shared by the big gods on the Internet to share with you.

Get the lens domain name

First to participate in the Lens ecosystem, you must first have a Lens domain name, otherwise some of the following operations can not be carried out.

There are three ways, early participation, white list, go to the NFT market to buy.One of the most simple and convenient is to go to the opensea platform to buy lensnft.

Step 2: Interact with the Lens ecosystem

We have compiled a few representative and relatively simple projects based on the Push Up God.

Worthy of long-term attention

Recently aboutLensProtocol The discussion heat again increased, the floor price of Lens handle NFT rose from 0.003 ETH to 0.033 ETH, or 1100%.

Around Web3, social platforms seem to have ushered in a new era. Can Web3 realize its vision of a decentralized social platform? In the future, will Web3 social replace Web2?

As long as there are new changes in technology, new giants may be born. After nearly a year of performance, LensProtocol is one of the key projects worthy of long-term attention in the future.
