Rainbow is a user-friendly wallet designed for managing crypto tokens and it comes with an easy-to-use and fun design that users can navigate easily. With Rainbow, you can store, send, and receive Ethereum, explore decentralized apps (dApps) directly from the app, and view your NFTs.

This guide will walk you through setting up Rainbow Wallet from scratch and funding it so you can mint an NFT on Zora.

Step 1: Download and Set Up Rainbow Wallet

1. Download the app:

  • Get Rainbow Wallet: Download the app from the App Store (for iOS) or Google Play Store (for Android).
  • Install and Open: Follow the installation instructions and open the app.

2. Create Your Wallet

  • Start Setup: Tap “Create New Wallet.”
  • Follow Prompts: Follow the prompts to generate a new wallet. Rainbow will guide you through the process, including setting a strong password.

3. Secure Your Wallet

  • Seed Phrase: Rainbow will provide you with a seed phrase. Write this down and store it securely. You can also back it up to the cloud. This phrase is crucial for recovering your wallet if needed.

Step 2: Fund Your Wallet

1. Get Your Wallet Address

  • Find Address: In Rainbow, click the copy button to copy your wallet address or just use the QR code(can be found when you click the 3 dots)

2. Buy Ether

  • Tap on Buy: Click the “Buy” button on your wallet to start the process of buying ETH
  • Select Your Payment Provider: After tapping “Buy,” you’ll be presented with different payment options. Rainbow Wallet partners with services like MoonPay and Ramp that allow you to buy crypto using a credit card, debit card, or bank transfer. Choose the provider that works best for you. You will be redirected to their website to complete the process.
  • Enter the Amount: Enter the amount of Ether (ETH) you’d like to purchase. You can start with a small amount if you’re just testing things out.
  • Complete the Purchase: Follow the prompts to enter your payment details and complete the purchase. The app will guide you through every step, so just follow along.

Step 3: Mint an NFT on Zora

1. Access Zora

  • Open Browser: On your Rainbow app, you will go to explore and click on Zora.co

2. Connect Your Wallet

  • Sign in: You click on the profile picture on the bottom right of your screen and pick Rainbow Wallet to log in
  • Authorize Connection: On Zora, click “Connect Wallet” and put in your password

3. Mint Your NFT

  • Explore Zora: You will see different nfts, pick one you find pretty and click the mint button
  • Confirm Minting: Follow the prompts to confirm the minting transaction. Rainbow will ask you to authorize the transaction and pay gas fees.

4. Check Your NFT

  • View NFT: Once minted, your NFT should appear in your Zora account and can be viewed directly in your Rainbow wallet
