Welcome to The Internet Café!
The Internet Café is a community-focused workshop, that provides writers with tips to improve their creative story writing.
Would you like to join our workshop beginning on Thursday the 12th of September?
There will be four group workshops running over September. Join them all and participate each week to be in the chance of winning cash prizes!
The workshops are run by Victoria and Raquel, who met through the T2.World website and both have experienced first hand how important it is to grow friendships within writing; to make partners, feel motivated and nurture the prospects of future business or projects!
Raquel is an award winning writer, with over two years experience as a freelance writer, she has ghost-written over ten published novels, co-wrote a children's book, has previous experience as a journalist intern and she wants to share what she has learned with you!
Victoria has been writing since early on and is particularly fond of creating journals and writing letters. The writing she has shared on the T2 website has won her achievements for her journey into the writing industry.
Schedule
Thursday, September 12th 2024 (5PM GMT):
All members of the workshop will familiarize themselves with each other at the beginning of the first workshop, this could be a great way to network and meet new writing friends!
We will then dive into the workshop! This week we will be exploring character development!
By the end of week 3, we hope that you will have prepared the ingredients for the recipe of your next story!
Constructing characters that readers can connect with is one of the most important elements of a story. You will be shown how to make your own character sheet templates which you can use to better understand your characters.
We recommend using Microsoft Word for the workshops, which you can use free online if you don't already own the program!
At the end of each workshop, we encourage you to share your works to The Internet Café territory on the T2.World website. This will contribute time points to winning the cash prize!
Thursday, September 19th 2024 (5PM GMT):
J.K Rowling created a legendary masterpiece by creating a new world that began in Kings Cross Station!
We encourage you to use your most vivid imagination and build your own settings, fictional or not!
Our second workshop will explore the elements of a good setting and explain how important using the right setting for a story is.
Members will focus on creating rich descriptions and building ideas to inspire their final story for week 4's writing session.
Thursday, September 26th 2024 (5PM GMT):
How good is a story without a good plot?
Without one, it would be a big PLOP!
Members will learn how to create a template to build the plot for their story. From the problem to the resolution, this is the time to decide what!
Thursday, October 3rd 2024 (5PM GMT):
In the final workshop, members will have an hour to begin their next novel, or make a short story!
Take your time or write as much as you can!
What you finally post to The Internet Café's territory will supply time points, which will finalise the winner of the cash prize!
This is your chance to shine!
Support each other by reading posts and you might win the place of best reader!
The best reader is the person who has accumulated the most time points through reading throughout the workshop.
