With the continuous progress and development of society, the overall quality of humanity is also constantly improving. For the needs of work and to improve my own cultivation, I met a good teacher and friend through a friend's introduction - the Higher Education Self study Examination
After more than six years of unremitting efforts, I have finally graduated from the vocational program of Chinese Language and Literature. Looking back on my years of study and life, I have gone through the journey from hardship to success with many self-taught students. In this university without a gate, I understand the meaning of self-study exams. Without a teacher, I learned the importance of determining my own learning methods during the learning process.
Firstly, choose a major that is suitable for one's own study based on their job and preferences; I enjoy reading books and have a unique love for Chinese and foreign literary classics. I often linger in libraries and bookstores, so I chose the Chinese language and literature major without hesitation. Driven by my interest, I study with relish and never feel bored, especially "Selected Works of Modern Chinese Literature", "Selected Works of Ancient Chinese Literature", "Selected Works of Foreign Literature", "Ancient Chinese Language", etc
The second is to cultivate one's self-learning ability and participate in extracurricular tutoring appropriately according to the course and time; Self study exams focus on self-study and rely entirely on self-awareness. Therefore, I concentrate my leisure time in my spare time, seize every minute to read books and organize notes. In addition, I also participate in the tutoring classes for Chinese language and literature majors offered by Xiangyun and Beijing Normal University in the evenings and weekends, rain or shine, which has had a multiplier effect on my learning.
The third is to comprehensively understand the basic knowledge in the book and summarize and consolidate it on the basis of understanding; Upon receiving textbooks, especially those with strong theoretical foundations such as "Introduction to Literature," one should first skim through them to understand the general structure, writing ideas, and key distribution of the textbook, so as to have a clear understanding and prepare for the next step of learning. Then, enter the stage of close reading, read the textbook step by step and in an orderly manner, circle the key points in the book, and write them down in a notebook. During reading, deepen memory based on understanding, constantly summarize, and after completing a chapter, summarize the key points of the chapter to consolidate one's learning achievements. After careful reading, reinforce memory of areas where understanding is not deep, and finally read extensively to identify and fill in gaps.
The fourth is to do more exercises to adapt to the format of the exam. While reading textbooks, when studying subjects such as "Ancient Chinese" and "Modern Chinese", find tutoring materials that match the textbooks, do more exercises to deepen memory and create an exam atmosphere that can fully adapt to the format of the exam.
In addition, there should be clear learning objectives. My study of Chinese language and literature is aimed at mastering more and better knowledge of Chinese language and literature, and improving my own cultivation. In addition, when it comes to exam results, one should be neither arrogant nor discouraged, especially when failing exams, to enhance self-confidence and always maintain an optimistic and upward spirit.
In recent years of self-study, I have deeply realized that 'there is a path in the mountains of books, and diligence is the path; the sea of learning is boundless, and hard work is the boat'. In the process of learning, I feel that my interest in Chinese language and literature has become stronger, and it has unconsciously improved my cultivation and realm, which is also very helpful for my work.
I know that graduation is not the end, there is still a long road ahead. I will continue to strive in order to better serve society and the people; I will be proud to be a self-taught student.
