The Green Society of Castle Miera

A small green spot was sighted from within the windows of the Miera Interstellar ship. The crew, who had never landed on that planet before, eagerly awaited touchdown.

The expectation of life in that small spot was almost certain, yet something puzzled Commander Lorry Miera: no signs of life emitted from that entirely green castle.

Each time the ship approached, the atmosphere turned greenish, and the crew's skin color shifted to aquamarine. Something was amiss in that place; the distant green was actually dense vegetation that had grown around the seemingly abandoned palace.

Unconcerned about their green-tinged skin, the crew began to explore and understand how things operated in the atmosphere of that planet."Professor Harry, I've found something!" exclaimed Astolfa Chalderiano, a botany student from the Miera Federation of Galactic Exploration.

The girl held a large, golden book with a huge "M" on the cover."How can this be?" Harry pondered, blowing dust off the book's cover."What does this mean?!" Astolfa retorted.

With the book in hand, Harry paced back and forth, flipping through pages with a bewildered and somewhat frightened look, as if he could comprehend what was written in those musty manuscripts. Suddenly, he stopped at a page, sending a chill down his spine.

He glanced at Astolfa and instructed her to summon the rest of the expedition; he had discovered something groundbreaking.

Though reluctant to let Harry take credit for the find, Astolfa obeyed and hurried to gather their peers. Gerold and Eustaquia were the first she encountered on the way back to the ship and subsequently to their colleagues.

"Harry's waiting for you inside! I'll fetch the others," Astolfa said as she passed between them, ordering those who promptly obeyed. She sensed something was terribly wrong.

Smukley and Snowly were studying a type of green-glowing plant emitting moss-green smoke.

Astolfa relayed the message to them and then found the remaining students. They all gathered in the emerald-green hall of the castle to hear why their skin was turning green.

"My dear students, forgive me for this exploratory journey. We should never have landed on this planet. Unfortunately, a system failure didn't warn us of the dangers it harbors, and I fear it may be too late..." Harry walked up to a small lectern at the end of the hall, placed the book on the table, and opened it, while everyone listened with wide eyes, worried about the professor's ominous words.

"Speak up! We don't have all day; I need to get back to Terrastra," grumbled Gerold.

"Well, the truth is, no one's going back to Terrastra today, and perhaps never again. The plants on this planet have evolved to the point where the atmosphere transforms any living organism that comes into contact with it into... Guess what? Plants!" Harry whispered almost maniacally to the panicked students.

"But wait! The initial victims left a way to rid ourselves of this affliction in this book. We need to be strong and work together."
