We just had an amazing weekend. As @Ellie described the weekend as ‘pure magic’ the weekend was nothing but magical. I will take you on the shortened tour of our trip from this weekend so that you can get the hang of what it is like to be a part of the CraftHer team.
The day started out with an amazing lunch at Little Flower Farm. One of us said
‘This is the best meal we’ve ever had!’
…without knowing dinner would be even better. Some food is worth the wait. The lunch was certainly one of them. I mustn’t forget to mention its ambience. No explanation needed. Please refer to the picture.
Still, I should probably mention what cannot only be conveyed through pictures. Temperature. It was CHILLY. Up on the Indian ‘hill’ (as you can see, it was more like mountains, not hills), the temperature was much lower than in Kottayam city. For the first time in a month, I pulled out my long-sleeved shirt.
The day continued and we went on a swim in the fresh rainwater, explored further up on the hill, and hiked in the meadow. The ‘hike’ was more intense than we expected, as it was slippery, steep and actually *challenging*. I fell at least three or four times, although it was worth it.
The highlight of the day was a dinner+campfire on the full moon night. With the amazing food and immaculate little hot chocolate, we listened to the inspiring life story of the owner. Spending a relaxing, interesting and beautiful time in the middle of the Indian mountains, the experience was nothing but unforgettable and precious. We wished we could stay for another night, but perhaps it was for the best since now all of us want to go back there again.
On the next day, we went on a morning swim in the waterfall. Personally, I had never been *inside* the waterfall until this day. Everything was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Everything we saw seemed magical. Or perhaps it was all magic, because how could I ever end up in a beautiful Indian mountain during a scholarship programme from my university? If it was all magic, perhaps it would explain why the 100% rain weather forecast suddenly changed to a clear full moon night.
