此作品是为了纪念伟大领袖毛泽东同志诞辰130周年特意制造的肖像泥塑。其中两边塑造党旗的原因是毛主席在党旗的诞生历程中扮演着主要角色。1927年9月，毛泽东同志在湘赣边秋收起义中提出，应该打出一面工农革命军的旗帜，并要何长工负责设计。这面旗帜用鲜艳的红布制作，在中央缝着一个黄色五角星，在五星的中心是镰刀和斧头，白色旗套上写着“工农革命军第一军第一师”字样。从此，我们党和军队有了自己的旗帜。
This work is a portrait clay sculpture specially created to commemorate the 130th anniversary of the birth of the great leader Comrade Mao Zedong. The reason for shaping the party flag on both sides is that Chairman Mao played a major role in the birth process of the party flag. In September 1927, Comrade Mao Zedong proposed during the Autumn Harvest Uprising on the Hunan Jiangxi border that a banner of the Workers' and Peasants' Revolutionary Army should be raised, and He Changgong was responsible for designing it.
