Can we get a brief introduction?

My name is Spencer Saar Cavanaugh, and I am a writer, graphic designer, and software consultant operating under the auspices of Clinamenic LLC. As a generalist, I'm fortunate to be able to professionally leverage a few of my skills and to recreationally explore a variety of other interests.

What topics and genres do you write about?

Lately my writing has been mostly discourse in the areas of epistemology and political philosophy. One of my primary efforts is to identify a politico-economic framework which balances the economic liberty of liberalism and the economic security that various collectivist regimes have attempted to promote. As for epistemology, I am currently mostly concerned with how pragmatism and schizoanalysis can be married, and how such an epistemic framework can be politically applied to Machiavellian political theories.

What inspires you to write?

I am mostly inspired by the opportunity to explore frontiers of thought, namely how niche theories and models across a variety of disciplines may complement each other.

What's your goal as a writer?

My primary goal as a writer is to create discourse which documents the experimentation of synthesizing interdisciplinary ideas, and distills them down to practical and accessible language for those who may be similarly interested in exploring such areas of thought.

How do you see technology impact writing and publishing?

The impact of technology on writing which most interests me is the manner in which technology empowers independent writers to publish, preserve and monetize their work. I see certain emerging technologies, namely peer-to-peer storage layers and peer-to-peer financial settlement layers, as being especially helpful in these regards.

What are you writing now? What project are you currently working on?

I am currently working on a short treatise about the reconciliation of the economic tenets of liberalism and progressivism, in the spirit of dialectically synthesizing the values of capitalism and communism. There also remains a facet of this inquiry pertaining to how public goods can be funded and how community-generated value can be returned to the community, and I suspect there may be valid grounds for a generalization of George's economic theories beyond land value alone.

What makes you write on t2?

I write on t2 because it enables me, as an independent writer, to publish my work, collect reader feedback and facilitate social media engagement, and store my work on Arweave.

What’s your favourite feature on t2?

Its a tie between Arweave storage and the Lens integration!

And can you describe the writing communities on t2 in one sentence?

t2 allows the creation of topic-based writing communities where relevant content can be discovered and published, as a basis for collective conversation and sensemaking.
