Dear crypto writers,
we are happy to announce that you will have a chance to win 1,200 USDC!
Since the last Dappcon writing challenge was great, we are organizing another contest.
This time it will be organized by:
- Kiwi, an app curating top content about crypto tech, products & culture,
- t2, an app for writers to find, build, and grow their community,
- Lens, a decentralized protocol for building social applications.
The writers will be able to win USDC prizes and receive some extra distribution from the Kiwi, t2 & Lens communities.
To participate, you just need to submit your posts to the t2 and Kiwi apps (more on this below)
How does it work
The contest starts on the 25th of June and ends on the 9th of July.
Here’s how you can take part in it:
1) Write a post about the “future of decentralized social”.
The prompts for the track are:
- Why hasn’t web3 social taken off yet?
- What are some of the potential futures of decentralized social?
- What new apps, and ideas could be delivered thanks to decentralized rails?
- What are some new challenges we are going to see?
- What are some of the most promising, non-speculative web3 social apps?
- What do we already know that doesn’t work in web3 social?
You can choose one or more than one of these prompts to write an essay exploring this subject.
2) Add a line about your post taking part in the contest.
Link to this contest announcement with the words: “This post is taking part in the t2 x Kiwi Writing Contest” - either at the beginning or at the end of your post.
3) Share your post in the Kiwi t2 Territory.
You just need to connect your wallet and you are good to go.
You can repost your essay on platforms such as Paragraph, Mirror, Substack, X, Warpcast, Zora, private websites, and so on. We’d just ask you to add a line “as it originally appeared on t2 (link to the original post)”
4) Submit your t2 post to Kiwi.
To submit links to Kiwi, you need to get a Kiwipass first. If you have any questions, DM Mac on Telegram.
5) There will be four winners of the contest.
The prizes will be divided as follows:
1st Place: 600 USDC
2nd Place: 300 USDC
3rd Place: 180 USDC
4th Place: 120 USDC.
6) The winner will be determined by the number of upvotes received on Kiwi.
To qualify for the contest, you need to submit your post between the 25th of June and the 9th of July.
7) On the 15th of July, we calculate the final scores and reveal the winners in the next five days.
If you are one of the winners, you will just have to send us a receipt/invoice and the wallet address where you want the USDC to be sent.

All writers are also welcome to share their posts on X and Lens. Our profiles will repost the best submissions.
If you want a retweet on X, you should tag @KiwiNewsHQ, @t2wrld, and @LensProtocol.
Summary
The crypto world has been divided into Telegram, Discords, Twitter, and web3 social apps, and Kiwi - thanks to its neutrality - has always been a place to connect it.
So we are happy to work with t2, which, just like us, is focused on helping writers. We hope to get some fresh ideas and give writers access to some well-educated crypto audiences.
We think it’s a good win-win opportunity for writers - even if they don’t win the money, they can win some attention and new subscribers.
If you have any questions, feel free to DM @macbudkowski on Telegram or post your question in the comment section of this Twitter thread.
PS: We want the best posts to win.
So, if we see any attempts to game the contest, e.g., by creating multiple accounts to upvote a particular post, we reserve the right to modify the way we determine the winner.
One alternative way would be to only count votes by users above the specific karma score threshold or by users who created accounts before a particular date.
