Nowadays, many species of monkeys are threatened with extinction due to various reasons such as habitat destruction, poaching, environmental pollution and climate change.
One such species that is on the verge of extinction is the Somali monkey, also known as the Berber macaque. This species of monkey is found only in small regions in Africa and has only about 250 individuals. The main reason for their disappearance is the loss of their natural habitat due to deforestation and changes in agricultural activities.
Besides the Somali monkey, many other monkey species are also endangered. For example, gorillas, chimpanzees, and orangutans also face extinction due to various threats such as poaching, wildlife trade, and habitat loss.
In order to prevent the extinction of monkeys and other animal species, urgent measures must be taken to protect their natural habitat, combat poaching and trade in wild animals, as well as strengthen efforts to preserve biodiversity. Only through the joint efforts of society and the governments of the world can we ensure the survival of these beautiful and amazing creatures of our planet.
