I believe that blockchain and AI can enable a world where nobody has to worry about their access to the Internet, food, shelter, healthcare, financial freedom, and education.
The deflationary power of AI and the transparency of blockchain (mainly Bitcoin) will make UBI entirely feasible within 5-10 years if we choose to do so.
I believe that nation-states are outdated and that a decentralized blockchain-enabled government promotes free markets and competition to motivate citizens beyond UBI. Data backs up the fact that UBI encourages entrepreneurship, but it does not hinder it. When we're free of the worries of survival, we thrive.
I think healthcare should be free and available to all, with the right to purchase private insurance if you wish to have priority access to the best services.
I believe that the fiat system is broken, and economics needs to embrace Bitcoin to create a monetary system that is intrinsically linked to our natural resources.
I believe in equity and equality for all, no matter your faith, religion, sexual orientation, or gender.
I know the world will be almost uninhabitable if we continue down the current path of rising CO2 levels, and children alive today will have to fight for their survival in most places.
Climate refugees will become one of the biggest concerns, creating even more division as the rich get richer and the poor begin to die out faster and faster. This is based on extrapolations of current data, not any crazy conspiracy.
Current methods to tackle most of these issues from either the right or left are failing.
The left (in the rare places where it even exists instead of a center-right party in sheep's clothing) fails to see how to properly execute policies that are truly inclusive.
The right focuses almost entirely on division and fear with 'trickle-down' policies lying to its base. The right lies using gish galloping techniques to confuse voters, whereas the 'left' fails to create workable policies, see the gravity of the situation, and fight on the same battlefield.
#Bitcoin Outcast
I am becoming an outcast in Bitcoin and crypto as the above views would likely fall into the left-libertarian quadrant of the Political Compass spectrum.
- Economic Views: Universal Basic Income (UBI): Supporting UBI aligns with left-wing economic policies, which favor redistributive measures to ensure basic needs are met for all citizens. Free Healthcare: Advocating for free healthcare for all is a left-wing economic stance that emphasizes the role of the state in providing essential services. Decentralized Blockchain-Enabled Government: This suggests a preference for reducing centralized state control, aligning with libertarian principles. Bitcoin and Natural Resources: Embracing Bitcoin and linking it to natural resources indicates a preference for alternative economic systems, which can be seen as a libertarian approach to economic freedom.
- Social Views: Equity and Equality for All: Your belief in equity and equality, regardless of faith, religion, sexual orientation, or gender, aligns with libertarian social values, which emphasize individual freedoms and rights. Outdated Nation States: The idea that nation-states are outdated and should be replaced by decentralized governance aligns with libertarian views on minimizing state control and promoting individual autonomy.
- Environmental Views: Urgency of Climate Action: The severe risks posed by rising CO2 levels and global warming align with left-wing views on the need for urgent and significant action to mitigate climate change. Climate Refugees: The displacement of millions of people due to climate change highlights the need for policies that address both environmental and social justice. Environmental Justice: Emphasis on addressing climate change and its socio-economic impacts aligns with left-libertarian views that combine environmental sustainability with social equity.
- Economic Inequality: Impact of Climate Change on Inequality: Climate change exacerbates economic inequality, disproportionately affecting poorer populations, which aligns with left-wing views on the need for redistributive policies to protect vulnerable populations. Free Markets and Competition: Promoting free markets and competition while also supporting UBI and free healthcare suggests a blend of left-wing economic policies with libertarian social policies.
- Combination of Views: Free Markets and Competition: Promoting free markets and competition while also supporting UBI and free healthcare suggests a blend of left-wing economic policies with libertarian social policies.
I support redistributive economic policies (UBI, free healthcare) placing me on the left side of the economic axis, while my advocacy for decentralized governance and individual freedoms places me on the libertarian side of the social axis.
Therefore, I would be positioned in the left-libertarian quadrant of the Political Compass.
Yet almost all bitcoiners are now seemingly right to far-right... Neo-fascists won't adopt blockchain in the way you hope
... and it will be too late to say, "I Told You So."
