We finally made it to June, and summer is right around the corner. You know what that means — Happy Pride Month!
Here at t², we’re a community open to all, be it in June or any other time of the year. But alas, during Pride Month, we want to highlight some of the queer stories you can find on t2. Our writers put out some of the most vulnerable and insightful stories that touch your heart and emphasise LGBTQI+ experiences. Why not gain some t.p. by reading their powerful writing?
A story about growing up queer resonated with a lot of users already. Sexuality can be confusing, but finding stories that can validate your feelings can make it easier. Strongly recommend this article by @Sarasbarbina!
In @María Fernanda Gutiérrez’s piece, we are given action points on how to combat LGBTI-phobia when we encounter it around us. An informative, vital piece that highlights the discrimination of the community and how we can help on a daily basis.
@saujanya tells the story of Vanitha Akka, a transwoman in urban India. The piece perfectly highlights her experience and the power of community.
And last but not least, our own co-founder Sammi shared her thoughts on growing up queer, healing, and being seen for who you are. It’s another story about friends, community, and doing things in your own time.
And that’s just a couple of examples. Go to t/ModernQueer or just put “queer” in our search bar, and enjoy more of such stunning stories. And if you feel comfortable sharing your journey, please do so. We look forward to reading them!
Happy reading, writing, and celebrating! 🫰
