ZkSync as a technology is fine. Today proved to be some bullshit with Matter Labs trying to trademark ZK and I took that opportunity to dunk (not proud of it but oh well).
Bigger than that, I believe Lens should be focused on apps right now. Actual user adoption. The tech can always be fixed and improved, adoption is the only meaningful metric at this stage. The best technology rarely (almost never) wins the market. Lens has the best tech and the best model of all the web3 social protocols. In my view they’re hyper-focused on improving the tech when they should be focused on building apps which drive user adoption.
Hey/Orb/Buttrfly/Phaver are not built for mass adoption. No normal person cares about Patreon. Crypto users are still asking “wen mass adoption” literally proving my point. If Patreon was the killer use case everyone in web2 would be here.
Apps which do completely new things only possible in web3, which would include utilizing a “shared canvas” or “multi-user post”, are the apps which will usher in mass adoption. Reusing others data is the superpower of a blockchain and almost nobody is enabling this.
