Alien Punks and XCOPY

I find it very interesting that recent big NFT sales (Alien Punks and XCOPY) went to anonymous collectors.

Usually after such sales the first thing you see is a thread from the new owner explaining why they purchased the most significant NFT in history.

But here… nothing. And it’s been weeks.

So, I think it’s either collectors from outside our usual circle (the elusive traditional art collector) or institutions that don’t want to be front-run.

I might also be totally wrong and it’s just collectors who want to remain anonymous which is totally fine
