Here in t/TwiggTales, we believe that writers and readers should be rewarded for their efforts... so let's get ready to read, write, and win - again!
After racking up some great wins in last month's t2 "Friends Who Write" contest, we're planning to continue to build momentum and showcase a key part of the ethos that we share with the t2 team - a belief that both writers and readers play a key part in the literary ecosystem, and that their attention should be rewarded, encouraged, and made more fun, more interactive, and more bespoke!
We know that the t2 teams teased the information that another season of "Friends Who Write" will be coming later this year - but we wanted to let everyone know that there are more opportunities to read, write, and win between now and November!
So, between April 17th and May 1st, we'll be tracking who is writing - and reading - stories in this Territory... the Top Reader and Top Writer (measured by Time Points) will each win $100 - and this is just the beginning!
Some key points:
Writers - there is no "1000-word minimum" as was the case in "Friends Who Write" - so feel free to share your shorter works (poems, flash fiction, explainers) - or post long pieces. The choice is yours, and the readers are the ultimate deciders!
But - also unlike "Friends Who Write" - only stories posted in this Territory will count, and only your new works written between 17 April and 1 May will count for this particular prize!
Readers -
Unlike other contests which have focused mainly on writers, this one offers equal rewards for those who just read! Because, let's face it, without an audience, writing would pretty much just be journaling! 😅
All the Time Points you accumulate by reading stories written here in t/TwiggTales during the contest period (17 April - 1 May) will count to your score - this includes any of the many amazing stories, essays, articles, and poems published previously in our territory which you haven't read before!
