On June 5, 1972, the United Nations Conference on the Human Environment was held in Stockholm, the capital of Sweden, and the Declaration on the Human Environment was adopted, and June 5 of each year was proposed as "World Environment Day". In October of the same year, the 27th United Nations General Assembly adopted the proposal. The establishment of World Environment Day reflects the understanding and attitude of people around the world towards environmental issues and expresses mankind's yearning and pursuit for a better environment.
