News from March 28, 2023, that is, almost a year ago:

"The Texas Legislature has introduced a new bill:

The first point is legal protection for those who own and participate in activities related to military-technical cooperation. This protection includes immunity from government control. For example, state citizens can store BTC in non-custodial wallets without government control.

The next point concerns miners. They will be able to freely carry out their activities without any restrictions. Texas wants to allow them to use any form of energy to protect the Bitcoin network.

The bill will also support specialists who code or develop applications for Bitcoin. They are guided by Article 1, Section 8 of the Texas Constitution, which protects freedom of speech and the press."
