Blockchain and non-fungible tokens

Not only do contemporary technologies like blockchain and NFT (Non-Fungible Token) open up new opportunities for artists, but they also open up new possibilities for their supporter base. An NFT token is a tool that alters the way in which individuals collaborate and engage with one another.

The use of blockchain technology makes it possible to safely store, transmit, and manage the copyrights and earnings of artists. It is possible for an artist to have a greater degree of control over their creations and to get just recompense for the usage of those creations through its use.

NFT tokens, which are a type of digital asset that is based on blockchain technology, provide artists with the ability to create and sell one-of-a-kind works of art, music, or collectables. Supporters have the opportunity to obtain non-fungible tokens (NFTs) that represent their preferred music or exclusive content, which is of exceptional value to them.

Interaction with others

Additionally, the utilization of blockchain and NFT technology has the potential to facilitate direct engagement between fans and artists. An artist has the ability to generate unique non-fungible tokens (NFTs) that provide access to exclusive content or events, and they can only make them available to their most devoted fans. Along with fostering strong connections within the music community, this direct engagement with fans has the potential to produce more cash for both the artists and the fans individually. The music project that was created by the publisher POLVINYL and the band Daga-dana, which resulted in the creation of their one-of-a-kind album "Meridian 68," is an example of this.

The Polish-Ukrainian band has created a unique record that incorporates the musical styles of four distinct cultures: Polish, Ukrainian, Mongolian, and Chinese. In order to create a one-of-a-kind combination of jazz, ethnic, electronic, improv, and global music, the group investigates new versions of traditional folk tunes that have stood the test of time.

DAGADANA

Over the course of fifteen years, Dagadana has been effectively combining aspects from a variety of different civilizations. 2008 was the year that it was established by Daga Gregorowicz from Poland and Dana Vynnytska from Ukraine. Today, Dagadana is a quartet that occasionally extends with a brass section or even a symphony orchestra. Mikołaj Pospieszalski and Bartosz Mi-kołaj Nazaruk are the two members who have joined the group.

This year, Dagadana made history by becoming the only band from Poland and Ukraine to perform at the illustrious Glastonbury Festival in the United Kingdom, which is widely considered to be one of the largest music festivals in the world. Publications such as National Geographic have featured them in their work.

Over thirty countries have been visited by the band, and they have performed there on many occasions, including at the largest festival in South America and during numerous tours in China. There have been times when Dagadana has played in the desert, on a raft, and even in a mine.

Web 2.0

Fans from the Web2 globe will be able to purchase the GOLDENBLACK VINYL™ edition of Dagadana's "Meridian 68" album. This edition will feature the following components:

  • Two 180-gram vinyl records, recorded at 45 RPM for improved sound quality and dynamics.
  • Recordings were composed using Direct Metal Mastering (DMM) technology, and the copper matrix was cut on a Neumann VMS-82 machine in the illustrious Pauler Acoustics studio. This results in a reduction in the amount of interaction that occurs between neighboring frequencies and an improvement in the accuracy of information reproduction at higher frequencies.
  • a box that was made just for this edition and contains a sixteen-page anniversary booklet as well as four reprints of artwork that were originally featured on the album cover and were created by Olga Kravchenko.
  • A Digital Certificate of Authenticity (CCA), which is a non-fungible token (NFT) that is encoded in a data registry that is both secure and unchangeable through the employment of blockchain technology. In addition to ensuring that the record's number corresponds to the sequence in which it was produced by the pressing machine, it is inextricably linked to the vinyl record. This means that the number 1 on the record is actually the number 1 and not simply a number for the box! In addition, the CCA verifies the fan's participation in the band's project and validates the time when the fan first became a fan of the band and began listening to the band's music (so you finally have proof that "you've been a fan before they were famous").

One-of-a-kind NFT

In the context of this project, the NFT token serves as the key to "Open Sesame." You will receive a number of additional tokens that are specifically tied to the project if you purchase one token.

To begin, there are four non-fictional translations of The Simples Music: Dagadana. Which ones are they? Kon-rad Kirpluk is responsible for the creation of this collection of well-known digital stickers, which were made specifically for the "Meridian 68" album. At the same time, these stickers can be used as NFT tokens.

Since 2013, Konrad Kirpluk has been working on The Simples. He has also cooperated with well-known global businesses such as Nike, FootLocker, and Blizzard, which has resulted in his artwork becoming extremely popular and sought in the Web3 community.

The second thing to mention is that there are five NFT visuals associated with the album. These graphics are the digital versions of the reprints that are given to Web2 fans.

Not only will token holders of GOLDENBLACK DIGITAL VINYL™ Dagadana "Meridian 68" have access to the download zone and extra materials, but they will also have access to the download zone by themselves. Furthermore, the most significant aspect is that the owner of each NFT token that is linked with GOLDENBLACK DIGITAL VINYL™ has the ability to freely manage it, which means that they are able to trade it in any cryptocurrency ecosystem. In addition, the address of the buyer's cryptocurrency wallet from the pre-sale will be permanently recorded in the NFT, which will serve as evidence that the buyer was the initially owner of the cryptocurrency.

GOLDENBLACK (DIGITAL) VINYL™

POLVINYL has created a new brand for their released records: GOLDENBLACK VINYL™ and GOLDENBLACK DIGITAL VINYL™.

The GOLDENBLACK VINYL™ record is a vinyl record that comes with a Digital Certificate of Authenticity. This record exemplifies the concern that the firm has for the quality of sound. By working together with professionals in the field of vinyl mastering and employing the Direct Metal Mastering (DMM) technology (which was developed at Pauler Acoustics studio), the record's quality in terms of both its audio and its artwork demonstrates the splendor of the music that was made by the artists and producers. It offers the highest audio and print quality on vinyl, mixed with modern blockchain technology, which creates new opportunities for collectors.

Within the studio, the GOLDENBLACK DIGITAL VINYL™ is a digital recording that has been immediately copied from the DMM mother record. This allows for the cutting of the matrices. Following right behind the diamond-cutting knife throughout the copying process is a needle that is highly sensitive and exact, and it is coupled to audio equipment of the highest possible quality. The sound recording is not altered in any way by later operations such as galvanization or pressing as a consequence of this. A unique approach to the world of digital files is the implementation of blockchain technology and non-fungible token (NFT) solutions. They have made it possible for you to possess a digital file in the same way that you can own a vinyl record.

Is it worth buying?

The technologies of blockchain and NFT make new opportunities available to artists and the fans of those artists. In addition to giving fans the opportunity to acquire one-of-a-kind works and exclusive content, they give artists a greater degree of autonomy over their creative processes and the revenue streams they choose to pursue. Utilizing this technology can enhance artists’ profits and enable them to create closer relationships with their audience. In order to accomplish this goal, the Dagadana band and the POLVINYL project have been created. The collectors will also find it to be a wonderful delight.

While I am unsure as to whether or not the Polish music market is prepared for such solutions, I am certain of one thing: it is high time to be the first, to demonstrate that it is possible to combine diverse worlds in a single project and to provide something that is distinctive to each and every individual.
