How to Live to 140 Years Old, seriously?

Have you considered how medical and scientific research and Artificial Intelligence intersect? Can 140 years old be the new 100?

I’m not talking about artificial means such as plastic surgery or temporary altering methods like Botox or fillers. Consider alternatives that result in a healthier, more independent you, longer and having a better quality of life.

The scientific and medical research of longevity care, lifespan extension, has brought healthcare to a more in-depth level while being noninvasive.

Technology has advanced in the medical field rapidly. One area is noninvasive scanning. This enables you to have a website or an app on your phone that can scan your face and do a deep dive, while sending only the pertinent medical results and information to your doctor.

Blockchain technology can bring about transparency and with its immutable nature, can benefit senior citizens in many ways.

You can be assured of your health data; financials are secure with blockchain. Records follow you, rather than repeatedly filling out the same forms every time you go to a doctor.

The records of facilities, doctors, staff and caregivers, their level of care, and the reviews, scores and performance for you to decide for yourself what you want out of your healthcare.

Longevity Care takes things a step further. Using different A.I. medical devices, scans, analysis agents, the results are profoundly accurate.

A Longevity Care Analysis result can show how you damaged your liver or lungs over time and what can happen if you continue to live the same lifestyle over time while also showing alternative practices to interrupt and change to a healthier you, living longer and having a better quality of life.

Longevity Care uses a variety of new technologies, medical and scientific research, to offer the most recent solutions for senior citizens to live longer and yes to 140 years old.

In the meantime, before 1 in 6 people are senior citizens (2035), Longevity Care, in its infancy, may be too expensive for the masses. Until then, there are other, simpler ways for you to empower yourself and be proactive with your own longevity.

As the world of technology evolves and rapidly intersects with senior citizen care, Onboard60 is there. I recently purchased my first Virtual Reality headset. I read that the benefits of using Virtual Reality with senior citizens are plentiful.

A senior citizen who doesn’t travel, may be homebound, or in an active assisted living facility can use travel adventures and engage in ways they may not have done before.

Some benefits of Virtual Reality Therapy for senior citizens are improved cognition, mobility, higher social engagement and memory recall. There are many ways senior citizens can benefit from sitting comfortably while seeing the world.

I admit experiential learning has taken me walking into my couch a few times, not comprehension spatial orientation while walking Machu Pichu learning National Geographic’s Travel Adventures.

I did learn how and took some cool photos, I think I saved them, I will find out another time.

The benefits of using technology include the wearable health rings, oriented towards ongoing recording of vitals. I have one with 2 years of daily records, patterns of my health.

This type of technology can be uploaded to iCloud where doctors have instant access to what you want them to see, pertinent up to date, in real time data of your vitals, for days, weeks and even years.

I recently upgraded to the newer version that has more real time records in more categories of health-related vitals. There are not only oxygen saturation levels, but there is also now sleep apnea detection. Yeah.

The wearable technology market for senior citizens has also evolved. The old school linked bracelet with engraved information has been replaced with technology that has passive tracking and more.

A Medical ID bracelet can be updated in real time with all the medical information necessary to alert the right people, fast with a pinpointed location. Near Field Communication Chip technology makes this possible.

Air Tags have been co-opted by the senior citizen industry; the ones moms put on their children’s backpacks. GPS Sole Inserts are shoe sole inserts with GPS tracking built in for Alzheimer’s and dementia patients. They can be equipped with geolocation parameters, think sundowning.

Smart Home Technology is evolving and entering the senior care industry. Nobi Lights, lamps, overhead lighting with sensors. They use smart technology to detect agility, falls, and more.

Lighting can be improved and made safe in so many ways for senior citizens. There are baseboard lights that run through the house that light up when there’s movement. Overhead lighting sensors turning on and off as one enters or exits a room.

There are appliances that automatically turn off after a certain time, think of your stove. There is voice control to set the temperature in a room. There are many other simple ways to keep safe and live independent in one’s home.

In the future, Onboard60 plans to create an Active Smart Home 55+ community but for now, it is in the planning stage.

Housing is a factor for senior citizens. The increase in senior citizen population, the rising cost of housing and care are issues to be faced, and solutions made. Onboard60 is there.

I started asking how long do you want to live but the real question is how are you living?

Are you taking advantage of the simple ways you can be empowered and have a better quality of life today for tomorrow?

Technology gives you a chance to not only live longer, better and smarter but the tools to succeed in doing just that. Here’s to 140.
