Mermaid Aria was unique in the underwater kingdom of coral Haven because she had a gift that no other mermaid possessed – the gift of wind. With a simple flick of her gorgeous tail, she could create winds, pleasant or strong, as she desired.
One of the days while looking around the ocean floor, Aria met a yellow turtle who was full of wit and wisdom at once. Ana's gaze fell toward the shiny surface which covered Sunny's shell, which had patterns and eyes full of wonder.
“What is it Sunny? Would you like to tell me why you are here in the first place.” Aria raised an eyebrow. Sunny replied, “I have a quest and I heard that you could help me with your wind powers.” Aria s face lit with amazement, T tell me more!
His adventure was however not over. After explaining this I was also told that my turtle friends, the Turtles clan, live in a different part of the ocean, separating them from Ocean had taken their greatest possession, the Golden Pearl, which kept the reef healthy and withered and perished the ocean.
Aria and Sunny honed in on their own plan. They would sneak into Oceana’s den, get the Golden Pearl back, and return it to the Turtles clan.
Under heavier water pressure, Aria wielded her wind control power to counter problematic river flow while navigating threats in the sea. Ocean was able to locate her via Sunny’s olfactory system.
The cave had unearthed Oceans cradled by a massive brush of ink-like clouds. To the great distress of Ocean, Aria unleashed the sooty particles with a fine wind which unveiled the Golden Pearl pendant stuck to her tentacle.
“Look at the view, you
Let’s move forward with the journey:
As Aria and Sunny were engaged in feasting over the accomplishment, an unfamiliar voice was heard from the reef: “Psssssttttt… Mermaid Aria… Come here quickly!” Aria’s eyes gleamed as she recognized the voice of Finley the Seahorse. He was already motioning for them to come along and there was a small cave as far deep into the reef as possible where he was taking them.
They found in there three little mermaids, each of whom is gifted in some way: Luna with her flashing light from squids, Cora that could tame corals, and Tides who could make ocean waves. According to Finley, they were the Protectors of the Reef where they dwelt, safeguarding its mysteries and wonders.
There was an air of great excitement for Aria to find the Guardians and the things that they could do. After explaining herself, Luna showed them her bioluminescent signals, while Cora demonstrated the workings of her corals. Tides, who had been relatively the shy one of the three, astonished them all with a strong flame and realistic tides waves that he himself produced.
Finley said that the Guardians had been observing Aria and Sunny and their past adventures and thought the two would be interested enough in the group. Aria got very excited and immediately accepted the proposal. Sunny too, it goes without saying with his wits and sense, was accepted as a great friend and ally.
The Guardians of the Reef went on a new expedition with a mission to delve deeper into the ocean and keep its mystery intact. They discovered caves, saw magnificent creatures of the sea, and completed complexes left by the ancient people.
